is tracking it all for us on live doppler 7 hd. >> okay. here's the image right now. large moisture across the north bay where it has been all evening long. light rain pushing down into marin county. some heavy rain up north sonoma county around santa rosa and healdsburg see now it's more wide spread and moving slowly to the south and to the east. rainfall total 24 hours not so impressive anywhere yet really. no rain fall recorded in parts of the east bay south bay on the peninsula up in the north bay 16 hundredths at mount saint helena quarter inch at warm springs dam. at 5:00 o'clock wet for the morning commute. fwhet all areas at that time but 7:00 o'clock we will sea a lean of pretty heavy rainfall developing through the central part of the bay i can't remember sweeping east south later morning hours then into the midday hours. finally in the afternoon we see the heavy rain beginning to push to the south and east breaking up light showers with remain dear of the bay area remain dear of the afternoon. look ahead what is after that when to expect to see drying in a few minutes. >>

to the south of us. reaching into the higher terrify rains towards logs banos. not much rain left. during the overnight hours, we follow the time line, clouds dissipating but fog will settle in some areas. we don't expect it to be dense but could reduce visibility for the morning commute. there is a few lingering clouds but showers should wind down giving way to sunny skies. >> dan: there is good news in santa cruz county, one of hardest hit areas from the storms managed to reopen one lane of vine hill road using steel plates and sandbags. half the road had slipped away. >>> downed trees are an ongoing problem with the rain soaked soil. anchor eric thomas has the story of how one narrowly missed a couple. >> scott got a visit from the building inspector. big chunks came crashing into his home. one came through his bedroom ceiling feet away from where scott and his wife slept. >> we were asleep and woke up. thank the lord we are here to talk to you about it. it was a big tree. it fell right over my head. luckily luckily one of the banks fell the other way. >> no part came to rest on the ro

on us not a big soaker but it is cold and it will bring some rain. here's weather anchor spencer christian with live doppler 7 hd. >> okay dan we have some wet weather. finally moving natural bay area down from the north throughout the evening and now you can see clearly on live doppler 7 hd a path of rainfall. in the north bay mainly getting reports of light rain in santa rosa but obviously in the last few minutes or so the area of more concentrated rain developed down in marin county novato to fairfax and out to sea golden gate patch at vallejo and solana county and more moisture offshore so it's getting organized now. and wetter weather on its way. start our forecast animation 11:00 o'clock tonight at which point we'll see more wide spread and more concentrated rainfall as the front sweeps through during the overnight hours rainfall reaching into the south bay and east bay. by 5:00 o'clock tomorrow morning beginning rush hour we see trailing showers behind the front. not so much wide spread rainfall but some wet spots nonetheless with morning commute so keep that in mine
